Tickled Pink is a dynamic group of marketing, event and design professionals united by a drive and passion to help those affected by breast cancer.
Throughout the years, our annual fundraiser has been held at warehouses, art galleries, nightclubs and each year drawing some of Chicago’s professional trend-setters and hip movers and shakers all with the same goal – to celebrate a wonderful cause, to celebrate life.
Tickled Pink partners with The Bright Pink Breast Cancer Organization, which is the only national non-profit organization focusing on prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer. Together, we bring over 1,000 guests to our events, and have raised over $2,100,000.
Our Story
In February 2005, Tickled Pink Chicago threw its first party and raised $35,000!
In February 2004, Carrie Kenney lost her seven-year battle with breast cancer at the age of 35. One year later, her cousin, Jodi Fyfe gathered a group of close friends and colleagues to start Tickled Pink Chicago in honor of Carrie. Carrie was a fun-loving, young woman who was diagnosed at the age of 27.
After Carrie's death at the tragically young age of 35, Jodi was determined to keep her cousin’s fun-loving spirit alive. Jodi began by forming a team for a 2004 breast cancer walk but she wanted to find another way to remember the vibrant, fun-loving person who inspired her so much.
